Full Mouth Implants?
How do full mouth implants work?
Full mouth implants are great for patients who have either lost a lot of teeth, experienced extensive gum disease or dental decay, or who want to avoid unpleasant dentures.
With full mouth implants, a new set of specially designed teeth sit on top of 4 to 6 dental implants to restore both the function of your teeth but also a beautiful new smile. With the latest revolutionary technology, our specialist surgeon places your new implants with the aid of a digitally designed surgical guide to ensure maximum comfort and healing. The procedure is normally performed in our clinics under either local anaesthetic or I.V sedation, with all steps performed in-house in our large purpose built facilities.
Your New Smile
In this initial appointment we’ll talk to you about your dental journey and listen as you describe your ideal smile.
We will then assess your teeth, bone and bite using a CBCT X-ray and 3D digital intraoral scans.
We’ll make sure you are a good candidate and discuss alternative options and risks of the procedure as well.
Placing the implants
Based on our comprehensive records, we will have constructed a precise surgical guide that allows treatment to be performed guided.
At this appointment we remove all remaining teeth and place 4 to 6 dental implants.
Within 48 hours you will have a temporary bridge or denture that you can will use for 3 months to ensure everything is healed.
Final Implant Bridge
The big day is here and your final full mouth implant bridge is inserted. We would of taken some new scans a few weeks before and given you a trial mockup of your smile for your approval.
The final bridge will come with a titanium backing for excellent strength and simply gets screwed into your existing implants.
Time to show the world your new smile!
