What are
Full Mouth Implants?

If you have failing teeth or a denture that keeps falling out, full mouth implants offer a fixed, long-term alternative to dentures. Rather than replacing each tooth individually, an entire arch is supported by a small number of strategically placed implants, providing a stable, permanent solution.

How do full mouth implants work?

A new set of specially designed teeth sits on top of 4 to 6 dental implants, restoring both function and appearance. Our specialist surgeon places the implants using a digitally designed surgical guide, with all steps carried out in-house.

The full mouth dental implant procedure involves:

  • Removing any remaining teeth and placing 4 to 6 implants
  • Fitting a temporary bridge within 48 hours while everything heals
  • Inserting your final implant bridge once healing is complete, usually around three months later

Treatment is performed under either local anaesthetic or IV sedation at our Lang Lang clinic.

Your New Smile

Full mouth implants are designed to give you not just functionality, but a beautiful, natural looking smile. We use both leading laboratories and our own inhouse team to construct premium teeth that is designed to give you many years of comfort. For your final restorations you can choose between acrylic or zirconia teeth. Both have advantages and disadvantages and its important to discuss with your dentist which is best suited to you.

The Full Mouth Dental Implant Process

1

Consultation

In your initial appointment at Lang Lang Dental, we’ll talk to you about your dental journey. We will then assess your teeth, bone and bite using a CBCT X-ray and 3D digital intraoral scans.

We’ll make sure you are a good candidate and discuss alternative options and risks of the procedure as well.

2

Placing the implants

Based on our comprehensive records, we will have constructed a precise surgical guide that allows treatment to be performed under guidance.

At this appointment, we remove all remaining teeth and place 4 to 6 dental implants. Within 48 hours, you will have a temporary bridge or denture that you can use for 3 months to ensure everything is healed.

3

Final Implant Bridge

Your final full mouth implant bridge is inserted. We would have taken some new scans a few weeks before and given you a trial mockup of your smile for your approval.

The final bridge will come with a titanium backing for excellent strength and simply gets screwed into your existing implants.

All treatment carries risks. Individual consultations are required with one of our practitioners to ensure that the treatment is right for you. Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
